Towards the end of the year 1999, I started to experience pain while swallowing food. Investigations revealed that there was a cancerous growth at the esophageal end and the treatment available was Surgery. I underwent Surgery & also started with Ayurvedic medicines. Since then I am living a normal life. Age related health issues do happen but I am able to be a part of many good occasions in life. Every human walks around with a certain kind of happiness and some times do face sadness at some point of life which I have already gone through but at this phase in my life, to be satisfied is Life for me!
NVR I suffered from Cancer of Stomach with secondary metastasis in Liver at the age of 67 years. I had primary Cancer of Stomach, Stage IV with secondary metastasis in liver. I then consulted Dr. Suresh Advani, Oncologist in Raheja Hospital who advised 6 cycles of Chemotherapy. Simultaneously I started Ayurvedic Treatment at Dadar branch of Cancer Treatment and Research Centre. Ayurvedic treatment helped in reducing the side effects of Chemotherapy. I continued the Ayurvedic treatment after the Chemotherapy which helped to improve the digestion, quality of sleep and gave me the strength to conduct day to day activities. The continuation of Ayurvedic treatment definitely improved my standard of living and contributed to increase my life span.

I am living a much routinized life, based on the Ayurvedic principles, which is a great support for me. Luckily my wife, Veenaji, is a good Ayurvedic cook, so I get very delicious food every day. I have a school bus company and I am driving also myself. I drive disabled children to school and back home, on a daily base. In this last 30 years, my life has shown ups and downs, which I feel, is part of living. Now I am 68+ years old and enjoying my life.
